(More customer reviews)This monitor is a life-saver!The temperature thing is kind of gimmicky, and we weren't planning to use that feature anyway.Yes, as a previous review mentioned, the temp. does fluctuate quite a bit, but I know what temp. my thermostat is set at, so I'm not really concerned about the temp. in the baby's room.It is the same as the rest of the house.Some of the video monitors are really expensive, and this one was much cheaper b/c the camera doesn't swivel around.We don't need that feature either.Considering they didn't even have baby monitors 30 years ago when I was a baby, you really can't ask for more than this.It shows the room / crib clearly and gives us peace of mind that our son is safe in his bed.No need to get up in the middle of the night when the baby cries because you can just flip on the monitor and see that he is fine.Within minutes, he goes back to sleep, whereas before, I would have gone in there to see what was wrong, and he would have seen me, and been even more fussy.
If you simply want to be able to see you child / crib at night, then this product is great.I don't need to see what color my child's pajamas are, so the color monitor feature doesn't really matter.As long as I can see him, and know that he is in a safe position, then that is all that matters; not the color, not the temp.Works great for us, and son is now 19 months old.There is no bright light in the baby's room, just a small green indicator light, like on any monitor.We have had no static and no buzzing sounds.All I hear is the baby, and his white noise machine.
